Did you know that there are different kinds of people foods that your Havana rabbit can eat as well as different types of people foods that are dangerous for your rabbit? Your vet can give you a list of things you can feed your rabbit as a diet and as treats. He can also help you learn about the foods to avoid feeding your Havana rabbit. For instance, rabbits usually have a diet of pellet food and timothy hay. They can also eat carrots, cabbage and certain types of fruits and veggies in moderation. Foods to avoid include fatty foods and sugary foods. A rabbit’s digestive system is not made to process these types of foods and they can get sick. For example, don’t feed your Havana rabbit potato chips. These are also high in salt. If your rabbit eats chips and becomes ill, please call your vet Sugar Land, TX right away.
